She loves to color

Adalei found my belt the other day and wanted to wear it so I put it on her. She wore it around for the rest of the afternoon until I took it off to change her diaper.

Adalei LOVES to color. She has her table set up in the living room and will go over to it often throughout the day and sit and color in her coloring books (and sometimes her reading books). She's such a bug!

Playdate

Every Thursday a group of us from our ward meet for playgroup. This past Thursday it was just the three little ones. It was nice to be with her favorite friends, Joshua and Luke. I brought donuts to share with everyone so Adalei's little face is covered in chocolate and sprinkles...awesome!

First time for everything

Well, it finally happened and I caught it on video. We came home from a fun-filled morning with her friend, Luke, while I finished cleaning up the "old" house. We came home for lunch and I didn't realize she was so tired. I let her alone to finish eating and once I turned around to see how she was doing, this is what I found.....

Maybe you can translate

I LOVE it when Adalei just jibber-jabbers! Enjoy because I crack up when I see these, they are some of my favorite videos!

She did wear it....

Staci, you will be excited to know that Adalei did wear your birthday hat you made her....6 months after her first birthday. She found it the other day and loves it when I put it on, but this day, she wanted to wear it....then decided she didn't:) Thanks!!!

Pictures of the new place

Okay, so these are pretty lame pictures. Travis took em the other day, nothing fancy. Just had to throw these up so Staci will quit hounding me ;).....And the other day I looked over the kitchen sink to see this little Bumbo sitting in her Tinkerbell chair watching her favorite movie, Babe. She was so cute with her little hands in her pockets all lounging....what a bug!

Hangout outside on the deck

I love this picture of the little Bumbo. She looks so soft and sweet.

Adalei loves the screen. She thinks it's pretty cool.

She had a fun time climbing on the boxes.

The mystery of eating grapes

So, Adalei enjoys grapes.....sometimes. When I give them to her I just put some in a little bowl and let her eat them up.

It just seemed like she wouldn't eat them or wouldn't eat very many...basically it turned into her putting them in her mouth, one at a time, and then spitting them out onto the floor as pictured above. Until, the other day, a light bulb went off, "why don't I cut them up and see if she eats them...." WHAAALAAA! It worked! Don't ask me why, but when I cut up her grapes she will eat them...can we say, spoiled! And that's where I stop...okay, I do peel her apples sometimes;), but those peels are hard for me to eat.

And yes, that is her "new" slippy....

My old "Gaggy"....or "Maggy"

Last day of snow!

Two weeks ago we had our last (well, hopefully our last) big snow storm till winter comes again. It dumped all day long and Adalei and I were preparing for a cozy day inside together while Daddy was at work. Then our dear friends, The Rushings, call and invite us to go up with them to Maryland (where Matt's parents live) for some sleding. Sure, why not, it's the last snow of the year. Thank goodness Jess is prepared as well as Matt's family because Adalei has NO winter clothes (I do that on purpose so we have an excuse not to go out in the snow;)). So they provided a super cool snow suit, gloves, and boots....awesome!! So we went out, watched the kids go down the hill, then we tried a little slide down the hill. Adalei wasn't too fond of it, it was freezing and windy. I think she had more fun just watching.

Okay, I really hate to be a party pooper, but I CANNOT stand the cold. I hate having to run in it let alone actually go out on purpose to "play" in it. So needless to say we didn't last too long outside in the bitter cold. What can I say I need to live in St. George!!!!

But I am oh so very grateful for our friends who invited us! It was wonderful to spend time with them and enjoy the company and not be stuck inside all day.

Here's the little stinker...
